Perspectives at the Dam.

Nevada: Blue Hues

After exploring at the Hoover Dam, we stopped at a lookout over the lake just as the sun sank below the mountains. I usually edit photos to enhance the true colors, but for these, I couldn't resist using a VSCO filter that pulled out the blues. The colors & textures remind me of Van Gogh & Picasso paintings.

It was difficult to communicate to my own eyes/brain the scale of the rocks we were hiking, let alone show it well in photographs. I used humans, the sky, and atmospheric perspective to help clue the viewer on the size of the environment.
