Higgins ink is without a doubt my favorite wet medium. Watercolors are too muted in my opinion, taking layer after layer to build up rich colors (which I know lots of people love, & that's great. Keep doing what you do). But I will keep using ink, because ink glows. Layer the colors correctly & suddenly you are working with light itself, liquid light, & it's absolutely magical.

I mean, just look at it! If you weren't smiling before, I bet you are know. I know I am, and – honesty hour – I've been wading knee deep through a season of depression the last few months. Ink is one of the few things lately that has given me joy & helped me keep my head above the surface.

Ink on my friends, ink on.
